SUMMARY:Rapid.Tech 3D 2023
DESCRIPTION:Rapid.Tech 3D 2023: Where Users meet Makers\nFor additive manufacture\, the times of pure prototyping use are over. The emerging developments in equipment\, materials and software over the recent years have been significant and now enable additive manufacturing with new quality parameters\, including scaling-up to small and large volume series. Rapid.Tech 3D 2023 in Messe Erfurt\, Germany\, ties it all together. \nAdditive Manufacturing Technology\nMore and more series applications are becoming possible through the integration of additive manufacturing technology within the value chain – AM has long since opened up a large number of customer industries due to its flexibility. \nEven the recent pandemic could not stop the positive trend – on the contrary: the restrictions on access to traditional manufacturing methods meant that additive manufacturing is becoming increasingly important for supply chains because it has shown how warehousing can be replaced through on-demand manufacturing. \nRapid.Tech 3D 2023\nJust as AM brings different technologies together\, Rapid.Tech 3D brings different players together: from machine manufacturers to software developers\, and university lecturers to medium-sized manufacturing companies. \n \nThe Rapid.Tech 3D Specialist Conference\nAt the heart of Rapid.Tech 3D since day one\, the focus of every innovation is the dialogue between experts and do-ers. At the Rapid.Tech 3D specialist conference\, users meet developers and you too can join the discussion. \nTopics that will move the 2023 congress include: \n• Mobility\n• Aviation\n• AM science\n• Medical\n• Software\n• Design\n• New applications in AM \nFrom May 9th to 11th\, 2023\, everyone who does not see AM as a dream of the future\, but sets the tone\, will meet at Rapid.Tech 3D. From research to finishing\, international exhibitors present their solutions for all aspects of additive manufacturing and 3D printing at Rapid.Tech 3D. \nInformation and Access\nLearn more at the event website\, or download the event profile directly.

SUMMARY:SPIE 3D Printing for Lighting Conference 2023
DESCRIPTION:SPIE 3D Printing for Lighting Conference 2023\nA number of manufacturing industries are now seizing the opportunities that 3D printing/additive manufacture can provide in terms of novel designs\, manufacturing versatility\, and cost-effectiveness. Lighting is one of the emerging key industries\, reason for the SPIE to organize a dedicated conference for it: SPIE 3D Printing for Lighting Conference 2023 in San Diego\, United States. \n3D Printing: From Prototyping to Production\nIn lighting\, manufacturers have long used 3D printing for prototyping\, but recent technology advancements in printers and materials have made it more feasible to use 3D printing to manufacture certain components for light fixtures. 3D printing offers the opportunity to design custom lighting components and fixtures on site and on-demand to suit the needs of the application and installation space\, increasing satisfaction with the product. \nResearch and Novel Approaches: From Custom Optics to Mechanical Features\nRealizing the benefits of 3D printing for lighting requires new\, dynamic research that will identify the best methods and materials to produce high-quality\, reliable custom lighting that is superior to traditionally made products. The thrust of this research must consider the thermal\, optical\, electrical\, and mechanical needs of lighting systems and components\, as well as testing and evaluation\, in order to overcome current challenges and enable on-demand production at a reasonable cost. \nAn example of 3D printed lighting components: 3D printed optics. Image courtesy of Luximprint.\nExamples of current issues for additively manufactured lighting include: investigation of materials with custom properties to print components that can serve end-use applications; understanding how dissimilar materials used in the same printer produce components with unique capabilities; and how printed components behave over time in lighting applications. \nSPIE 3D Printing for Lighting Conference 2023\nThe SPIE 3D Printing for Lighting conference encompasses the wide range of topics related to the additive manufacturing of lighting. Technical and scientific papers related to the additive manufacturing of lighting components and systems\, as well as overviews of the state-of-the-art are solicited. Research from different disciplines is encouraged. \nThe event runs from 20 – 24 August 2023 in San Diego\, California\, United States. \nPaper submission and registration via: https://spie.org/opo/conferencedetails/3d-printing-for-lighting
