Discover the Versatile Applications of 3D Printing in the Additive Manufacturing Course
Additive Manufacturing enables rapid developments ranging from prototyping techniques, to full-fledged change techniques that can be applied in a production environment. The layer-wise building products offers advantages in speed, cost, and freedom of design. It becomes possible to create complex, integrated designs in a single production step. Through continuous developments in materials technology portfolio, Additive manufacturing is an increasingly attractive alternative, especially for small series of complex parts. The Additive Manufacturing Course is excellent for young and starting professionals in the field of Additive Manufacturng / 3D printing.
What will you learn in this course?
Upon completion of this Additive Manufacturing Course:
♦ you will be aware of the latest technology, applications and developments;
♦ you can assess which parts are eligible for production with Additive Manufacturing and how they can be made the best;
♦ you know the constraints and limitations of Additive Manufacturing and you can pre-determine which technology suits your product the best;
♦ you will learn the basics of design rules associated with the technology and learn how you can simplify a structure by feature integration;
♦ you have hands-on experience with your own product.
The course is mainly directed at designers, manufacturers, product engineers and project leaders who design products or parts. The course level is University of applied sciences / higher education (HBO). After completing the course you will receive a certificate of attendance.
Practical Sessions during the Course
This course is organized by Mikrocentrum in close cooperation with Aconity3D. The first two days of the course will take place at Mikrocentrum in Eindhoven. Day three will take place at Aconity3D in the laboratory of the Fraunhofer Research Institute in Aken. This day will consist of an interactive program.
Mikrocentrum also hosts the Rapid Pro 2016 event in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.
