The 3D Print Hub is a community of makers disrupting the manufacturing supply chain. Rather than sourcing parts to low-cost countries, production is local, on-demand and personalized by providing broad and local access to 3D printers (mass customization). The approach of 3D print hubs is in stark contrast to the typical supply chain methods where masses of identical items are produced (mass production) and shipped long distances only to have a large number of those items discarded.
